A Tour of the Farm House

Come with us on a tour of the Farm House. Of course, nothing will relax you like actually wandering through the house or around the acreage, but this will give you a hint of what's in store for your visit.

In the evening, the sunlight slants through the trees and casts long shadows after a warm summer day. Quiet breezes move through the leaves as the sun slowly sets in the west.

Catch a breath of fresh air. Sit on the porch and take in the sights and sounds of the country as you escape the workday grind. We even have a porch swing ready for your enjoyment.

Spend an idle moment looking at the graceful staircase, or gazing thoughtfully at the stained-glass window in the front door. Leave your cares at that door and relax.

Would you like to sit inside? The comfy rocker and sofas in the living room provide a homey atmosphere around the fireplace, where you can drink tea and talk long after dark.

By now, the smells from the kitchen should have your mouth watering. Step into the dining room and take your place at the table. There's room for everybody, and more than enough food. A home-cooked meal is a rare thing these days, and you're about to get a good one.

Now you need to decide which room is yours. There are three large rooms and a smaller one. If you're bringing a big group, this will give you a little extra elbow room . All of the rooms have their own sink, and there are modern bathrooms for everyone. Take a look...

The green bedroom has plenty of space to spread out: a queen sized bed, a couch, and a great view of the back yard. Did you see? You can play horseshoes out there tomorrow.

The yellow room, called "Laura's Room" after the actress, Laura Dern, stayed with us while making a movie in the area, is warm and intimate. Your feet nestle into soft carpet on their way to the queen sized bed. There's also a chair, so sit down, read the novel you brought, and leave your briefcase in the closet.

The third room has a cool, relaxing feel to it. There are two twin beds, which we can easily convert into a king sized bed, if you'd like. Put your dress clothes in the armoire and take the wooden rocking chair for a spin. You may not want to get up.

Finally, there's the cow room. Do you have children you are thinking about bringing along? This is the perfect place. Whimsically decorated with Holsteins, it captures the child's imagination in all of us.

Now you've been through the Farm House. There's also a relaxing hot tub just waiting for your visit. Keep clicking around the site to find out exactly where we are, what you can do in the area, and just how reasonable our rates are.
