Hello Family
Plans are well underway for our 3-day Summer get-together. As you will be able to tell shortly, lots of cousins have been very busy planning and preparing. This is a very important newsletter so please read carefully. Deadline for ordering items and making reservations for all activities is June 1st. Please abide by this date as it will help The Cuz’n Planning Committee keep things organized with no last minute panic or stress. We are only 4 months or 16 weeks or 112 days away. Yep, that’s right it’ll be here before we know it.

As you all know this letter is being used on our website, www.junge2005.com, and also being mailed to those without Internet access. With that being said if you are using the website to communicate with us there is a Shopping Cart and Pay Pal account for your use for Meal, Golf,
T-shirt, Picture , and History Book update orders. The Pay Pal account has also been expanded to accept multiple Registration Fees. Be sure to check out the History Book and Talent Show Pages, as there are forms to complete. For those of you are who are receiving this through the mail please complete all of the enclosed forms and return by June 1st. Make checks payable to Tim Junge, 7217 Platte Ave., Lincoln, NE 68507.

GOLF TOURNAMENT – Tera and Mark Dey
Once again we will be hosting a Golf Tournament for the Reunion. We have decided that it would be fun and exciting to be able to play at York Country Club this year. We will be having the tournament in a 4-person scramble format and playing 18 holes instead of 9. The cost of the tournament is $45.00 per person and details of the event are on the website. T-SHIRTS – Lori Ehlers and Rosalie Hillmer
We are happy to announce that we have selected J & M Monogram of York, NE as the supplier of our t-shirts for the upcoming Junge Reunion in July. The colors of the T-shirts have been drawn for each family branch and a beautiful logo has been designed to be placed on the left front side of the t-shirt. The logo is very unique and carries out the theme of the family tree and the heart of the reunion, that being, “Sharing Our Past and Celebrating Our Future”. The cost of the t-shirts will be $8.00, which includes tax. We would encourage you to get your orders in early to save on confusion.

The group photo and individual photos will be taken Saturday morning after “Family Time”. Please wear your t-shirts. Orders need to be placed by June 1, 2005.

TALENT SHOW – Dennis Dahlgren
Do you have a talent that you would like to share with the family? Can you sing, dance, juggle or anything else special? The Committee would love to showcase have your talents following the Saturday Night Banquet. There is a time limit of 5 minutes per act. A piano will be provided..

FROM THE HEART GIFT EXCHANGE – Mary Kohtz
Theme: “Make It, Bake It or Grow It” - Put talents together and join us for the fun! Bring your gift wrapped item Saturday Night when you come to the festivities. I will have a table set up for the exchange to be held after dinner and the Talent Show

HISTORY BOOK – Marilyn and Doug Dey
Doug and I are excited about updating the family history books for all of you. Special thanks to Keith Cotner for all his hard work 5 years ago. We are finding that it is a very big task and without the assistance of each one of you, we could not complete this assignment. For your information, we will be updating the Otto and Lena Junge family in the “Blue Books” and in the “Brown Book”. We are asking you to please update us on your families. This will include babies, marriages, divorces, or deaths. We thank you in advance for helping us make this update accurate and complete. Our plans are to have all the information that we have received from you, compiled, copied and ready for each family holding a set of History Books in their possession. I have made arrangements to have the printing done at Eakes Office Plus in York, NE at a cost of $10.00 per set of History Books. You will be asked to pay at the time you pick up your materials at the reunion. We have set our deadline date as of June 1st, which coincides with the other deadlines set up for the reunion. Let’s carry on the great work that my parents, Raymond and Ruth Junge began back in 1988 when the original books were published. Special thanks to all of you.

MEMORABILIA/FAMILY TABLES – Lori Ehlers, Gail Kohtz, Mary Kohtz
Tables will be set up for Junge Mementos that have been kept in the family, like Grandma Junge’s wedding dress and Bible. Marilyn has all kinds of stuff in her basement that she is anxiously waiting to get out and display! Please bring individual family memorabilia, items of interest, scrapbooks and pictures. We will have a big screen TV, VCR and DVD available to show any videos/DVDs you would like to share.

GOODIE BAGS – The Committee

CHILDREN/TEEN ACTIVITIES – No one has volunteered to chair this Committee. If no one does there will not be any organized time for just the kids. This was a wonderful bonding time, plus it gave the parents a break. Does anyone remember the comment about how neat it was that the teens were exchanging e-mail addresses? And that if they felt connected that our reunions would go on? They had the chance to get to know each other at the kids/teens only activities.

SPECIAL NEEDS – Please let us know if you will be in need of a wheelchair.

Thank you for getting all of this information back to us As Soon As Possible. We’re all getting very excited – it’s kind of like Christmas – it’s hard to wait!! We only have 2,688 hours, or
161, 280 minutes, or 9,676,800 seconds to go – not very long at all.
